Answering your questions about 3-person spas

How many people can comfortably use a 3-person spa pool or swim spa?

A 3-person spa is designed to seat three adults comfortably, giving you more space than a 2-seater without taking up as much room as a 4- or 5-seater. The myPartner spa pool provides three hydrotherapy seats, while the mySwimgym also includes a large seat-free swim zone.

What are the dimensions and water capacity of 3-person spas?

Our 3-person spas fall within our most compact range and our family-sized models. The myPartner spa pool holds 750 litres (1600 x 2000 x 890mm), while the mySwimgym holds 4250 litres (3960 x 2290 x 1340mm).

That makes them larger than 2-person spas but still more space-efficient than most 4-person or dual-zone models.

How much space do I need for installing a 3-person spa pool or swim spa?

Due to 3-person spas having a larger capacity than 2-seaters, you’ll need an area at least 1m larger than the spa’s footprint to allow for delivery access, installation, and servicing. Our team can assess your site and recommend the best positioning compared to smaller or larger spas.

Can mySpa Sydney deliver 3-person spas to smaller or hard-to-access properties?

Yes. Even though 3-person spas are heavier and larger than 2-person models, we regularly deliver them to courtyards, rooftop terraces, and inner-city homes. If needed, we’ll organise cranes or specialist equipment to get your spa in place.

Do I need council approval (CDC) for a 3-person spa pool or swim spa?

Because they’re more than 2000L capacity, 3-person models need to meet NSW compliance requirements CDC or DA approval, Swimming Pool Register entry, and CPR signage.

Our team handles the CDC process and liaises with the local council, so you don’t have to.

Can I customise the colour and finish on 3-person spas?

Yes. Both the myPartner and mySwimgym are available in a wide range of acrylic shell colours and cabinet finishes, including natural cedar and low-maintenance Duratek. The same customisation options are available on larger family-sized spas.

Are there upgrade options for 3-person spa jets or controls?

Yes. Like our bigger spas, 3-person models can be configured in Classic, Premium, or Extreme packages. These determine the number of SQR hydrotherapy jets, massage zones, and control system upgrades.

Do you offer landscaping and decking with 3-person spas?

Yes. Because 3-person spas sit between compact and family-sized models, many customers choose to integrate them with new decking or seating for a “built-in” look. Our team can design and build custom landscaping around your spa.

How energy-efficient are 3-person spas compared to larger models?

Our Sapphire Spas 3-person spas balance comfort with efficiency. They utilise SpaNET™ control systems and premium insulation to operate efficiently, while heat pump upgrades can reduce running costs by up to 75% compared to element heating.
